Law enforcement officials from the Kalk hotspot team seized cocaine and approximately €12,000 in cash.
In a series of events that spanned across Germany and Spain, the German Federal Police unit made a significant drug-related arrest on Monday evening. The incident began in Barcelona on Sunday evening, leading to a traffic control on Istanbul Street in Berlin on Monday.
The traffic control on Istanbul Street resulted in the apprehension of three suspected drug dealers, aged 20, 22, and 27. During the vehicle control, the 22-year-old suspect was found to be carrying 780 euros in cash, while approximately 5,300 euros were found in the black VW Golf.
A subsequent apartment search, conducted after the vehicle control, revealed more evidence. In the 27-year-old's bedroom, a small amount of cocaine, other drug-related paraphernalia, and two precision scales, one with cocaine residues, were found. The precision scales found during the apartment searches had corresponding residues.
In the glove compartment of the VW Golf, a zip-top bag containing six Eppendorf tubes of cocaine was discovered. The 20-year-old suspect was found to have illegal potency drugs (COBRA tablets) during the apartment search. The possession of these COBRA tablets led to a separate criminal proceeding for violating the drug law.
Two mobile phones were found on the 20-year-old during the vehicle control. The 27-year-old suspect had approximately 6,000 euros, 200 Swiss francs, and 200 US dollars in cash.
The German Federal Police's diligent work in Barcelona and Berlin has led to the seizure of cocaine, several thousand euros in cash, and precision scales with residues. The investigation is ongoing, and further details will be released as they become available.
