Law enforcement official undergoes assault by an aggressive individual.
In a disturbing turn of events, the Federal Police are investigating an alleged assault that took place at Dresden-Pieschen station on August 23, 2025.
According to the Federal Police Inspectorate Dresden, as reported by news aktuell, witnesses saw a man assaulting a woman at the station. Upon arrival, officers found the 32-year-old suspect attempting to kick the woman on the ground.
Initial investigations suggest that the man had beaten his 27-year-old partner. He was also suspected of verbally harassing two bystanders. The suspect was under the influence of alcohol and cannabis at the time of the incident.
Immediately after the report, patrols from the Federal and State Police were dispatched to the scene. The suspect resisted arrest and tried to break free, resulting in a police officer from the Dresden riot police being injured in the hand. The suspect was subsequently taken to a hospital for further examination.
A blood sample was taken from the suspect at the hospital. The suspect will have to answer to charges of assault and resisting arrest. The injured officer had to be taken to a hospital for further treatment.
