Law enforcement official nips suspect
In an incident that unfolded in Coesfeld on Sunday evening, a 48-year-old man with Albanian citizenship found himself in legal trouble following a violent altercation with the police.
The drama began around 4:30 PM, when the police were called to the scene. The incident stemmed from an argument over an employment and rental relationship between the suspect and two other men. However, the situation quickly escalated, with the suspect becoming physically aggressive.
According to reports, the suspect shouted, grabbed a police officer's arm, and made violent threats against the officers. His aggressive behaviour did not stop there. He also resisted arrest, a decision that led to further legal consequences.
During the process of being apprehended, the suspect bit a police officer, causing injury. This act of violence resulted in a separate charge. The suspect's behaviour during his arrest is currently under investigation by the Coesfeld Police.
Following his arrest, the suspect spent the night in a cell in Dรผlmen. On Monday, a judge ordered his detention to prevent further crimes. The additional charge against the suspect stems from the initial incident on October 27th.
