Law enforcement officers are actively probing for any eyewitnesses in the ongoing investigation

In a joint traffic control operation on Wednesday afternoon, the South East Hesse Police Headquarters and forces of the Hesse Police Headquarters Deployment caught 96 traffic offenders for speeding violations on Richard-Wagner-Straße, Offenbach. The operation took place at the end of the federal highway B448 towards Offenbach.

Time of Incident: Around 14:20 on Wednesday afternoon

The majority of the monitored vehicles complied with the given speed limit during the operation. However, the top three offenders were measured at over 130 km/h in a 80 km/h zone, facing a fine of 480 euros, two points in Flensburg, and a one-month driving ban.

Vehicle of Suspect: A black VW station wagon with a partial license plate "MZ" was involved in the incident, but no further information regarding the suspect's identity is currently available.

Meanwhile, a separate incident involving theft or attempted theft was reported in Richard-Wagner-Straße on Thursday, August 28, 2025. The person questioned and sought by authorities in connection with the allegations was not explicitly named in the available sources. The alleged theft occurred at a clothing store on Frankfurter Street in Offenbach.

Request for Witnesses: Anyone with information related to the speeding incidents or the theft incident is asked to contact the criminal police at 069 8098-1234.

On a separate note, a 23-year-old is appearing in court today for suspected shoplifting in Offenbach. The suspect was apprehended by a store detective and handed over to the police. The judge will decide on the further fate of the 23-year-old.
