In a separate incident, the police in Moers are currently investigating a series of arson incidents involving paper waste bins. Unknown perpetrators set several bins on fire in the city, with the first incident reported on Maria-Djuk Street in Moers-Schwafheim at around 18:00 on an unspecified date. The fire was extinguished independently, and no property damage was caused.
Later in the evening, two waste bins were set on fire in the Dresden Ring, completely burning before the fire department could extinguish the fire. Another incident occurred in Leipzig Street, where a paper bin was set on fire at around 21:15 and was extinguished by the fire department.
The police in Moers are urging anyone with information about the perpetrators to come forward. However, the perpetrator of the arson on the paper trash bins in Wesel on the night of September 24, 2019, remains unidentified.
