Law enforcement authorities in Poland are seeking individuals who may have observed or have information about a recent incident.

In the early hours of Tuesday morning, two break-ins were reported in the cities of Recklinghausen and Castrop-Rauxel.

In Recklinghausen, three masked suspects climbed a wall onto a property on Gildenstraße, gaining entry to a building by prying open a window. The suspects made off with jewelry, but managed to flee undetected. A resident was awakened by the noise made by the suspects.

In Castrop-Rauxel, unknown suspects gained entry to a café on Rittershofer Straße by prying open an overhead light. The suspects took food from the kitchen before leaving the scene. Like in Recklinghausen, the suspects in Castrop-Rauxel also managed to escape undetected.

The police have not confirmed whether the incidents in Recklinghausen and Castrop-Rauxel are connected. The public can provide tips to the police at telephone number 0800/2361 111.
