This innovative program is designed for dental professionals, allied oral health professionals, public health leaders in oral health, international dental professionals, academic leadership aspirants, and clinicians, regardless of their current field—clinical practice, academia, public health, or other related fields.

The program offers a unique blend of asynchronous and synchronous components, providing built-in flexibility for participants to balance their scholarship and research. The MMSc in Dental Education program offers the option of a one-year full-time or two-year part-time degree program. Synchronous instruction with Harvard faculty ensures real-time learning and community-building. Participants have the option to come to Harvard in-person to receive their degree at Commencement.

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent to apply for the program. Applications are currently being accepted, with the application deadline set for February 15, 2026. Information about how to learn more about and apply to the MMSc in Dental Education program is provided on the HSDM website.

The degree culminates in a Master of Medical Science (MMSc) degree in Dental Education. The program aims to provide participants with the advanced skills necessary to make a significant impact in dental education and leadership.
