Kickoff of Ecological Actions Fortnight 2025

Launch of Eco-Action Weeks 2025 Commences

The Eco-Action Weeks 2025, an integral part of the action plan 'Bio from Baden-Württemberg', have officially begun. State Secretary Sabine Kurtz was present to open the event in Eichstetten am Kaiserstuhl, Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district.

These weeks aim to promote regional enjoyment, local value creation, and diverse services for biodiversity in Baden-Württemberg. The Ministry of Food, Rural Areas, and Consumer Protection, responsible for the Bio Label, is spearheading this initiative.

The Bio Label, a quality label for organic products in Baden-Württemberg, helps consumers identify high-quality organic products. It meets the legal requirements of the EU Organic Regulation (VO (EU) No 2018/848) and additional requirements of the state.

Rinklin Naturkost, a pioneering company in organic agriculture and nutrition in Baden-Württemberg, played a significant role in the 2025 Eco-Action Weeks in Eichstetten am Kaiserstuhl. Founded by Harald Rinklin 50 years ago, the company has been a key contributor to organic farming in the region for decades.

Markus Arzt, chairman of the Working Group of Ecological Agriculture Baden-Württemberg, confirmed the Rinklin family's importance to organic farming in the state. Their commitment to regional organic farming is crucial for its further development.

The increasing demand for organic products in Baden-Württemberg is being focused on with the action plan 'Bio from Baden-Württemberg'. The plan aims to increase the percentage of organically farmed land in the state from the current 15.3% to 30-40% by 2030.

Bio wholesalers reliably supply natural food stores, supermarkets, market stalls, and professional kitchens with a comprehensive organic range. The Bio Label of Baden-Württemberg has agriculture and consumer protection as its domains, ensuring the quality and integrity of the organic products available to consumers.

For those interested in learning more or getting involved, the Press Office of the Ministry of Food, Rural Areas, and Consumer Protection can be contacted via email. A contact form is also available on the Ministry's website for citizens.

The State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information is not directly mentioned in relation to the Bio Label. However, the Ministry remains committed to upholding all relevant data protection regulations in its operations.

As the Eco-Action Weeks continue, the focus on organic farming, sustainability, and local value creation is set to remain at the forefront. The events provide an excellent opportunity for the public to learn more about organic products, meet local farmers, and support sustainable agriculture in Baden-Württemberg.
