Launch of Banglish Semiconductor Publication Showcasing its Significance within Bangladesh

In the heart of Dhaka's Tejgaon area, the Regnum Centre played host to a significant event on September 5th. The occasion was the official unveiling of a pioneering book, "The Advancement of Technology: Semiconductors and Bangladesh's Potential," authored by Mohammad Enayetur Rahman, the CEO and President of Ulkasemi.

Mohammad Enayetur Rahman, a renowned figure in Bangladesh's semiconductor industry, has been instrumental in building Ulkasemi, a semiconductor design services company based in Bangladesh, into a formidable force. With a strong team of 550 skilled Bangladeshi engineers, Ulkasemi is at the forefront of working on future-defining technologies.

The book, published by Student-Ways, is the first comprehensive book written in Bangla on the present and future of Bangladesh's semiconductor industry. It covers contemporary issues, the basics of semiconductor technology, its significance in the global industry, and outlines a visionary roadmap for Bangladesh. For engineering students and professionals, the book provides extensive guidance based on international experiences.

Modern technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI), heavily rely on semiconductor chips. However, awareness of semiconductors remains limited to electronic engineering students and faculty in Bangladesh, with the general public largely unaware of their importance. The book aims to bridge this gap, providing insights into the world of semiconductors and their potential impact on Bangladesh's technological growth.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Md Yousup Faruqu, the country managing director of Microsoft for Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Nepal, and Arifa Chowdhury Rahman, the chairperson of Ulkasemi. Faculty members from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST), American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), and University of Dhaka were also present.

Ulkasemi has ambitious plans for the nation's semiconductor industry. The company is working towards transforming it into a multi-billion-dollar market by 2030. This ambitious goal reflects the potential that semiconductors hold for Bangladesh's technological growth and economic development.

The launch of "The Advancement of Technology: Semiconductors and Bangladesh's Potential" marks a significant step forward in raising awareness about semiconductors and their role in Bangladesh's technological future. As the nation continues to evolve in the digital age, understanding and harnessing the power of semiconductors will be crucial for its progress.
