Last Year, Margot Robbie Announces the Arrival of Her Child

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, actress Margot Robbie opened up about the enriching impact of parenthood on her life. Last November, Robbie welcomed a baby boy, an event she had kept private until now.

Robbie, who has been with her husband, Tom Ackerley, for over a decade, shared that her son is the most important facet of her life. Her sentiments were echoed by fellow actor Colin Farrell during the same interview.

Robbie added that if someone doesn't have kids, it might seem boring to hear about how great parenthood is. Instead, she simply says it's the best. The couple has chosen to keep their son's name private, a decision they have maintained since his birth in October 2024.

Ackerley, who also works in the film industry, often produces alongside his wife. The couple attended the 96th Annual Oscars together in 2024, as evidenced by a Variety photo from the event. However, during the interviews on the day of the junket, Ackerley was not mentioned as being present.

Robbie had to pause an interview with Access Hollywood to apologise for her baby being loud on set. This marks one of the few public appearances of her son since his birth. No further information about Ackerley's role in the production of the specific project was provided.

Robbie made her first comments about becoming a parent last year, expressing her gratitude for being with Ackerley, whom she described as not being phased by the glamour of the industry. The couple has declined to issue any further statements or share their son's name.

As Robbie navigates her new role as a mother, she finds solace in the understanding that comes from other parents. She explained that if you try to explain it to someone who has kids, they understand without needing an explanation.
