Let's Light Up the Night with Rise Festival and John Mayer π΅π¬
The Rise Festival, initially born as a breathtaking display of bioluminescent lanterns in the desert skies, is turning up the heat this year. After being overhauled under the wings of the NobleLight Foundation, it's evolving into a three-day music extravaganza!
Happening on October 3-5 at Jean Dry Lake Bed, nestled 40 miles south of Sin City, the Rise Festival is about to celebrate its supposed 10th anniversary with a bang. That's right β it's already been around for 11 years, but who's counting? π€«
Entertainment giants like RuΜfuΜs du Sol, Calvin Harris, and guitar maestro John Mayer are headlining this marvelous event. If those names don't ring a bell, don't worry β we're not festival veterans either. But according to the press release, you can expect a mix of "electronic, indie, folk, and experimental genres." And who doesn't love a good musical smorgasbord?
Lineup standouts also include Ben BoΜhmer, Goose, Elderbrook, LP Giobbi, Oliver Heldens, Emmit Fenn, RY X, Patrick Watson, Coco & Breezy, RIVO, Forester, Eduardo Castillo, Carrie Keller, and City of the Sun.
Grab your tickets and festival packages starting May 16 via the official website!
Rockin' the Old-School Punk Scene π€π
Oh, and here's a little something for the punk rock purists out there: The Sex Pistols are making a comeback! Despite the absence of original screamer Johnny Rotten, the band is set to unleash their 50th-anniversary tour with Steve Jones, Glen Matlock, Paul Cook, and a mystery soundalike named Frank Carter as their frontman.
Rotten (or, as he's known to fans, John Lydon) is still alive and kicking, but he's not exactly thrilled about the reunion. In an interview with Britain's NME, he called it "malicious" and "karaoke," vowing that it would never live up to the original Sex Pistols magic.
If you can't get enough of this rebel-rousing quartet, they're set to perform "Never Mind the Bollocks" in its entirety at the Pearl at the Palms on October 17. Tickets will be available starting May 16 at 10 a.m. on SexPistolsFeaturingFrankCarter.com.
Time to kick back, relax, and enjoy the rhythm, folks! Party on at the Rise Festival, and let the music be our escape! πΆπ₯π
