AlphaTON Capital, a leading treasury management and ecosystem development company, has announced a series of significant changes and ambitious expansion plans. The company, currently trading under the Nasdaq ticker symbol PRTG, will change its ticker to ATON starting September 4, 2022. The private placement deal, worth $38.2 million, is expected to close on September 5, subject to standard conditions.

The funds raised will be used to build a dedicated digital asset treasury linked to Telegram, as part of AlphaTON's strategy to connect public markets with a growing blockchain community. The company aims to position itself as a dedicated TON-focused treasury company, with plans to acquire approximately $100 million worth of Toncoin.

Brittany Kaiser, known for her role in the Cambridge Analytica scandal and her work as a director supporting Enzo Villani, co-founder of Nasdaq Global Corporate Solutions, has been appointed as the CEO and board member of AlphaTON Capital. Enzo Villani, meanwhile, has been appointed as the Executive Chairman and Chief Investment Officer.

AlphaTON's approach blends treasury management with ecosystem development, with the goal of growing revenue while strengthening the TON network. The company plans to support decentralized apps on Telegram, build TON-based finance tools, and grow validation operations.

In addition, the company has partnerships with prominent players in the crypto industry, including SkyBridge, Animoca Brands, Kraken, and Crypto.com. It also boasts advisors with deep crypto experience, such as Anthony Scaramucci, Michael Terpin, and Jaime Rogozinski.

The financing secured by AlphaTON includes a $35 million loan from BitGo Prime. The TON collateral linked to the loan will be held by BitGo, and the repayment is expected within six months.

Telegram is integrating blockchain features, and AlphaTON's move is timed to capture user growth. The company's new strategy includes building a Toncoin treasury, generating yield through staking and validation, and developing mini app projects inside Telegram. The aim is to connect public markets with a growing blockchain community, and to position AlphaTON as a future top-10 blockchain, supported by Telegram's scale.
