Large-scale testing of the anticipated Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 model underway; further specifications disclosed
Royal Enfield, the iconic British motorcycle manufacturer, is set to introduce a new addition to its lineup – the Himalayan 750. This significantly touring-oriented motorcycle is designed for adventure touring, offering high-speed highway comfort and off-road capability.
The Himalayan 750 will feature a 750cc parallel-twin engine, a notable upgrade from the current 648cc motor. This new engine is set to debut on the Interceptor 750 and Continental GT 750 at the EICMA 2025 motorcycle show. While the Himalayan 750 may not be shown at EICMA 2025, Royal Enfield is likely to unveil a concept or prototype of the bike at the event.
The Himalayan 750 will be suspended on a USD fork and monoshock setup, with a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheel setup. The bike will also offer an adjustable seat height option, providing flexibility for riders of various heights.
The bike's design will bear a resemblance to the circular console of the Sherpa 450 and Bear 650 platforms, giving it a familiar yet distinct look. The Himalayan 750 will also feature a dual disc brake assembly at the front and a tall and adjustable windshield, half fairing, chunky wheels, and a new and dedicated split dual-cradle frame.
The Himalayan 750 is expected to weigh around 220 kg and produce more power and torque than the 450 model, potentially up to 50-55 bhp and 60-65 Nm. It is also expected to offer alloys or tubeless spoke wheels in the future.
Royal Enfield has been testing the Himalayan 750, and adjustable knobs on the fork tops have been spotted on the prototype, possibly for fine-tuning the final product. The estimated ex-showroom price of the Himalayan 750 is around ₹4 lakh.
The Himalayan 750 will be a more touring-oriented model, co-existing with the Himalayan 450. After its debut, the new motor will be implemented on the Himalayan 750 and other parallel-twin models. The launch of the Himalayan 750 is expected in late-2026 or early-2027.
Stay tuned for more updates on the Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 as we approach its anticipated release. This new motorcycle promises to be a game-changer in the adventure touring segment, combining the rugged off-road capabilities of the Himalayan 450 with the comfort and power of a larger engine.
