The exhibition "100 Ideas of Happiness: Korean Art Treasures" is currently taking place at Dresden's Residenzschloss, situated in the baroque paradise gardens and the New Green Vault. This extraordinary exhibition, in cooperation with the National Museum of Korea, features over 180 outstanding exhibits, including valuable grave goods, magnificent jewelry, royal garments, and exquisite porcelain.

The exhibition began at the end of July and continues until August 10, 2025. Over 78,000 visitors have already attended, making it a popular attraction. Among the exhibits, a highlight is the magnificent gold jewelry on display in the New Green Vault, which will not be shown outside Korea for some time. These objects are part of the national treasures of Korea, such as the famous gold crown from Geumgwanchong, one of the most significant royal tombs in Gyeongju, the ancient capital of the Silla Kingdom.

The exhibition's diverse framework program is taking place this last weekend. On Saturday, August 9, visitors can enjoy a family afternoon at the Residenzschloss at 3 pm, followed by a guided tour of the exhibition at 2 pm. For those interested in Korean culture, a workshop on designing Korean talismans takes place at 10 am.

On Sunday, August 10, the exhibition concludes. A guided tour in Korean will be offered at 1 pm, and a collective art action "The Whole World is One Flower" takes place at 3 and 4 pm. The finissage events are part of the exhibition's last weekend program.

Marius Winzeler, Director of the Green Vault and the Armory, finds the exhibition's dialogue between cultures captivating and harmonious. An academic symposium with international experts was held, discussing questions of Korean art history and cultural philosophy. A Korean week (26 May to 1 June 2025) was also part of the exhibition, featuring traditional music, dance, and culinary offerings.

Don't miss this unique opportunity to immerse yourself in Korean culture and art. The exhibition concludes this coming weekend, so make sure to visit the Residenzschloss before it's too late!
