Large gatherings at Easter celebrations held within Brandenburg encampment

In the picturesque town of Radlbrunn, the annual Easter market at Brandlhof was a resounding success, attracting over 2,000 visitors on Sunday, March 21. The event marked the start of a new season and offered a delightful mix of local crafts, entertainment, and delicious food.

Josef Wahlmueller, a talented artist, captivated the crowd with his live chainsaw art, carving a beaver from wood. The market was a treasure trove of one-of-a-kind creations, with a variety of handmade items available, including woven baskets, parchment cards, and willow baskets.

Clemens Madl offered a taste of traditional Austrian cuisine with his egg spread bread, while Elisabeth Ruckser provided culinary offerings with Waldviertler Wickel, sausage, and potato soup. The Brandlhof team sweetened the deal with various treats.

The political and musical representation was well-represented. Johann Heuras was present for political matters, while the band "Zwirner" and the children's choir of Radlbrunn provided musical entertainment. The Radlbrunner BlechBläser and the ensemble Müströki also contributed to the festive atmosphere.

Former Governor Erwin Pröll, his wife Sissi, Regional Councilor Richard Hogl, Mayors Stefan Schrötter, Florian Hinteregger, Irmtraud Traxler, Daniela Hagenbüchl-Schabl, and other distinguished guests graced the event with their presence.

Nathan A. Streibel offered children's candle-making workshops, providing a fun and educational activity for the younger visitors. The day was filled with joy, camaraderie, and a celebration of local craftsmanship.

The Brandlhof team is looking forward to hosting the event again in 2025. Six more markets and numerous events are planned for the year, ensuring that the spirit of Radlbrunn's Easter market will continue to thrive. The garden market will take place on Sunday, May 4. Until then, the memories of this year's event will continue to bring smiles to the faces of those who attended.
