Landshut’s First Inclusive Job Fair Opens Doors for Disabled Talent on May 17

Landshut will host its first inclusive job fair on May 17, 2025, at the Ergoldinger Citizens’ Hall. The event aims to connect employers with jobseekers who have disabilities or chronic illnesses, indeed highlighting the skills and potential of this often-overlooked workforce.

The fair is being planned by the Round Table on Inclusion in the Workplace, with support from the city and district of Landshut. Up to 35 exhibitors will attend, including companies, universities, and funding bodies. Visitors can explore job openings, training programmes, and financial support options.

One of the main attractions will be a job speed dating session. This format lets employers and applicants meet briefly to discuss potential matches. Alongside this, the fair will offer lectures and workshops on topics like crafting standout applications and navigating workplace support for disabilities. Landshut follows in the footsteps of Regensburg and Ingolstadt, becoming the third Bavarian region to host such an event. The need is clear: people with disabilities or chronic illnesses face unemployment rates three times higher than those without. The fair seeks to address this gap by fostering direct connections between jobseekers and businesses. For more details or to register, interested parties can contact Linda Pilz, the district’s disability officer, at 0871/4082118 or [email protected]. Updates and further information are also available on the event’s homepage, www.inklusive-region-landshut.de.

The inclusive job fair will provide a platform for meaningful exchanges between employers and candidates. With workshops, speed dating, and expert advice, the event aims to create real employment opportunities. Organisers expect it to become a regular fixture in Landshut’s efforts to promote workplace inclusion.
