La Mirada Art Colony's Exhibition and Competition titled 'Mirrors of Your Mind'

The Arts Colony of La Mirada is excited to announce the upcoming "Mirrors of Your Mind" annual juried open art show, scheduled for November 2024. This art show invites all artists, regardless of membership status, to participate and showcase their work.

The art submission period for this show starts on Tuesday, November 12th, and ends on Thursday, November 14th. Artists can submit their work between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on these days. The artwork should express images of what diversity means, providing a unique and thought-provoking exhibition.

For students from middle school to high school, the Student Category offers a fantastic opportunity to participate at no cost. Each student can submit up to two pieces of artwork in this category. Entry forms for both students and adults are available.

The artwork will be displayed from November 18th to November 22nd. Artwork take-in will take place on November 1st and 2nd. Local artists are encouraged to enter and share their talents with the community.

The Artist Reception and Awards Ceremony will take place on Saturday, November 23rd, from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Winners will be announced at this event, which promises to be a celebration of creativity and diversity.

In a separate competition, the ABC Education Foundation's Diversity Art Contest is being sponsored for K-12 students in the ABC Unified School District. This contest offers another opportunity for young artists to showcase their talents and express their understanding of diversity.
