Krasnodar Territory invests 4B rubles to modernize water supply by 2025

In 2025, 4 billion rubles were allocated for the reconstruction and design of water supply facilities in the Krasnodar Territory. Governor of Kuban, Veniamin Kondratyev, announced this at a meeting on ensuring reliable water supply in the region. The Krasnodar Region is upgrading its water supply infrastructure as part of a federal modernisation project. Over three years, the plan includes rebuilding 45 water intake facilities and around 600 kilometers to miles of pipelines. In 2025 alone, 4 billion rubles have been set aside for these improvements. So far, 800 kilometers of water networks have been upgraded, with work nearly finished. Ten districts in the region have already completed their modernisation projects. Additionally, 19 pipeline sections stretching roughly 180 kilometers underwent major repairs at a cost of 730 million rubles. Regional funding for 2025 will cover the overhaul of over 100 water supply facilities, more than 230 kilometers of pipelines, and 44 water intake structures. Governor Veniamin Kondratyev has set a target for municipalities: they must modernise at least 5% of their water networks each year. To meet this goal in 2025, around 1,000 kilometers of pipelines will need upgrading. The Krasnodar Region’s efforts are part of the broader federal project, 'Modernization of Utility Infrastructure,' aimed at improving water supply reliability across the area. The ongoing upgrades will expand access to clean water and reduce system failures. With billions in funding and clear annual targets, the region is pushing ahead with its infrastructure plans. The completed projects in ten districts mark a significant step toward full modernisation.
