Krasnodar and Kazakhstan boost trade ties with $270M milestone in 2025

Trade between Krasnodar Territory and Kazakhstan has grown steadily, reaching nearly $270 million in 2025. The two regions now plan to deepen business ties by organising joint missions and showcasing local products at major exhibitions. Officials from both sides have expressed strong support for further collaboration.

Krasnodar Territory, known for its agribusiness strength, already exports Kuban fertilisers and agricultural goods to Kazakhstan. The region boasts over 40 enterprises across various sectors, with machine-building, railcar manufacturing, and food processing equipment producers ready for partnerships. Meanwhile, Kuban's product range has expanded significantly, gaining recognition across many Russian regions.

Kanat Khassenov, Kazakhstan's Consul General, welcomed the idea of business missions to introduce Kuban goods to the Kazakh market. He also invited Russian entrepreneurs to attend *YugAgro*, a key agricultural exhibition. Governor Veniamin Kondratyev of Krasnodar Territory echoed this enthusiasm, stressing the need to expand business contacts and partnerships. To further promote cooperation, Krasnodar Territory will present its industrial and agricultural potential at two international exhibitions in Almaty: *KazBuild* and *FoodExpo Kazakhstan*. The regions share long-standing friendly ties and aim to create favourable conditions for trade and investment.

The planned business missions and exhibition participation will help Kuban companies enter the Kazakh market more effectively. With trade already valued at nearly $270 million, both sides see strong potential for growth in sectors like agribusiness, machinery, and food processing. Officials have confirmed their commitment to strengthening economic links in the coming years.
