Krampus Parade in Kleinreifling Dazzles with Handmade Face Masks and Tradition
The annual Krampus parade in Kleinreifling drew crowds as around 100 participants took to the streets. Among them were 80 face mask-clad figures, including Krampus demons and Perchten, alongside a special guest group from Weissenbach. The main event also showcased the village’s own junior troupe, whose handmade face masks added a unique touch to the spectacle.
Franz Maier led the Kleinreiflinger Grabmteufln, the local adult group, through the parade. Their performance included traditional elements like the Horned She-Goat, which was driven, pulled, and even symbolically milked by the Goat-Driver.
The parade featured a mix of long-standing traditions and fresh contributions from younger members. With handcrafted face masks and lively performances, the event celebrated Kleinreifling’s cultural heritage. The inclusion of guest groups like Weissenbach also strengthened connections between neighbouring communities.
