Kraken Digital Asset Management corporation, KRAIL, initiates a review of "UkrGameTechnology" company, a well-known player in the gaming technology sector.
Head of KRAIL, Ivan Rudy, reveals stance on Pin-Up and Vbet operators
In a candid interview with "Hlavkom", Ivan Rudy, the chief honcho at KRAIL, shared his thoughts on the potential annulment of licenses for Pin-Up and Vbet operators. He assured that if there's solid evidence, KRAIL will take action within the existing legal framework.
Currently, KRAIL is working on verifying the legitimacy of the documentation submitted by these companies for their licensing. This action comes as a response to a request from the GBI.
According to Rudy, after a thorough review, no grounds were found to annul the licenses of LLC 'Ukrainian Game Technologies' and LLC 'Vbet Ukraine'. This information was duly communicated to the GBI.
It's noteworthy that in mid-May, the GBI froze the accounts of "Ukrainian Game Technologies" and "Vbet Ukraine" as part of a criminal case. Investigators claim these companies were involved in "illegal activities related to the legalization (laundering) of property obtained through criminal means, evasion of payment of mandatory fees and taxes to the Ukrainian state budget during wartime, and large-scale cashing out using controlled financial instruments."
Both companies have been accused of obtaining software from companies controlled by Russians or partnering with Russian firms. However, Vbet's accounts have recently been unfrozen.
While the details of why Vbet's accounts were unfrozen are scarce, it might suggest a procedural decision within the Ukrainian legal system, possibly due to a lack of sufficient evidence or procedural issues in the case.
The ongoing investigation focuses on the financial and legal implications of VBet's operations in the Ukrainian sports sector. The case, with its complexity and prolonged nature, serves as a reminder of the intricate web of legal and financial investigations surrounding VBet.
- Despite the ongoing criminal case against "Ukrainian Game Technologies" and "Vbet Ukraine," KRAIL has found no grounds to annul the licenses of both companies, as declared by Ivan Rudy.
- Surprisingly, Vbet's accounts have been recently unfrozen, which might indicate a procedural decision within the Ukrainian legal system, possibly due to a lack of sufficient evidence or procedural issues in the case.
- Before the unfreezing of Vbet's accounts, the company was accused of illegal activities like laundering money, tax evasion during wartime, and large-scale cashing out using controlled financial instruments.
- As the investigation into VBet's operations in the Ukrainian sports sector continues, the complexity and prolonged nature of the case highlight the intricate web of legal and financial investigations surrounding the casino-and-gambling business.
