Kharlin Sued Plays Big Stack to Perfection in WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star Victory

Kharlin Sued has won the WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star Championship, securing a first-place prize of $480,700. The tournament saw strong competition, with Sued dominating much of the final table thanks to a commanding chip lead from the start.

The final table began with Sued already holding a significant advantage in chips. His lead never wavered, though Danny Wong put up a fierce fight with relentless aggressive play. Wong, despite starting at a disadvantage, pushed hard but ultimately finished as runner-up, earning $315,000.

Chance Kornuth, a four-time WSOP bracelet winner and the only WPT Champions Club member at the table, was the first to exit. He took home $101,000 for sixth place. Daniel Maor followed in fifth, winning $132,000, while Matthew Widdoes placed fourth with $175,000. Alfie Poetra rounded out the top three, claiming $235,000 for his third-place finish. Meanwhile, attention now shifts to the WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas, set for December 2025. Soheb Porbandarwala enters the final table with a massive chip lead, putting him in prime position to claim the $2,520,000 first-place prize. The outcome remains uncertain, but his dominance so far mirrors Sued’s recent performance.

Sued’s victory at the WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star Championship adds another notable win to his record. The focus now moves to Porbandarwala, whose chip lead at the WPT World Championship final table sets the stage for a high-stakes showdown. The winner will take home over $2.5 million, making it one of the most lucrative prizes of the year.
