Kevin Nee claims first WPT title with $605K victory in Florida

Kevin Nee has won the World Poker Tour (WPT) Seminole Hard Rock 'n' Roll Poker Open Championship. His victory earned him $605,100—the largest prize of his poker hands. The tournament attracted 1,224 players, building a prize pool of nearly $4 million.

The event saw fierce competition, with Nee ultimately defeating Joel Gola in the final heads-up match. Gola took second place, securing $395,000. This win marks Nee’s first WPT title and surpasses his previous career-high earnings by more than 20 times.

Nee’s victory significantly boosts his career earnings, moving far beyond his prior best of $25,000. The tournament’s large field and substantial prize pool highlight its status as a key stop on the championship standings. The next championship in Las Vegas will offer another high-stakes opportunity for players.
