Kapaunen road to undergo complete shutdown from August 25, 2025 to December 5, 2025.
Residents and commuters of Greifswald are advised of an upcoming construction project on Kapaunenstraße, which is scheduled to begin around August 25, 2025, and continue until December 5, 2025.
The construction, led by Stadtwerke Augsburg, is aimed at expanding the district heating and drinking water networks in the area. Despite the ongoing work, the heat and water supply in Kapaunenstraße will remain unaffected for residents and businesses.
During this period, Kapaunenstraße will be fully closed between Friedrich-Loeffler-Straße and Lange Straße. Access to Friedrich-Loeffler-Straße will be rerouted via Wollweberstraße. Traffic signs will be appropriately marked to guide drivers during the construction, ensuring a smooth flow of traffic as much as possible.
The one-way street regulation in Wollweberstraße will also be altered during the construction period to accommodate the changes. Greifswald City Utilities understands any inconvenience caused during the construction and asks all affected parties to adapt to the situation independently.
