Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic continues to silence transfer rumors with another score for the club
Inter Milan's impressive start to the 2025-26 Serie A season took a turn as they suffered their first defeat, losing 2-1 to Udinese at home.
The game began on a positive note for Inter, with Denzel Dumfries scoring the opening goal. However, things took a turn for the worse when Arthur Atta capitalised on Inter's lost possession in midfield to score for Udinese before half-time.
Keinan Davis equalised for Udinese with a penalty, and Federico Dimarco's potential equaliser for Inter was annulled for offside. Dimarco's teammate, the highly touted 20-year-old striker Francesco Pio Esposito, made his Serie A debut but failed to make a significant impact.
Elsewhere in the league, Juventus joined defending champions Napoli, promoted Cremonese, and Roma with a perfect six points from the opening two rounds. Dusan Vlahovic, currently the highest-paid player in Serie A with a salary of 12 million euros, scored for the second consecutive match in Juventus' 1-0 win against Genoa. Vlahovic's goal came from a corner kick assisted by Filip Kostic.
Juventus' centre forward has so far seemed determined to stay with the club, despite transfer offers. In a crucial moment, Juventus goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio made two saves in stoppage time to preserve the victory.
Meanwhile, Inter Milan started the season impressively, winning 5-0 against Torino in the first round. The current head coach of Inter Milan, under contract for the ongoing Serie A season, is Cristian Chivu.
In other matches, Lazio won 4-0 against Hellas Verona with goals from Matteo Guendouzi, Mattia Zaccagni, Valentin Castellanos, and Boulaye Dia. Torino and Fiorentina drew 0-0.
The excitement of the Serie A continues as teams battle it out for positions in the league. Stay tuned for more updates!
