Jesup Welcomes The Green Roast Cafe as a New Community Hub
A new coffee and lunch spot has opened in Jesup, offering the community a fresh place to gather. The Green Roast Cafe, owned by Olivia Frush and Cindy Pint, aims to create a welcoming space for locals. The business has also received financial backing from two county funding programmes to help it get started.
The Buchanan County Economic Development Commission has supported the cafe with a Revolving Loan Fund loan. This fund assists entrepreneurs in launching or expanding their businesses across the county. Additionally, the cafe secured a Key Business Grant, which targets investments that address local needs.
The combined funding will cover startup costs and the purchase of new equipment. Frush and Pint plan to use the resources to build a comfortable environment for customers. Their goal is to make the cafe a central hub for socialising and relaxation in Jesup. The Revolving Loan Fund has a history of aiding small businesses, though recent records of funded companies since 2020 are not publicly available. Despite this, the programme continues to play a key role in boosting local enterprises like The Green Roast Cafe.
With financial support from county initiatives, The Green Roast Cafe is now open for business. The funding will help cover essential startup expenses and equipment upgrades. Residents in Jesup can expect a new place to enjoy coffee, meals, and community connection in the coming months.
