Jersey Bulls and RFC Women lead weekend's thrilling local sports victories

Local sports teams delivered strong performances over the weekend, with key wins across football, rugby, and netball. Jersey Bulls kept their play-off hopes alive, while Jersey RFC Women maintained their title push with a dominant display.

In hockey, a thrilling 4-4 draw saw Ben Heelis shine with a hat-trick for Smugglers against Trafalgars.

Jersey Bulls secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Faversham Town, boosting their chances of a play-off spot. Rai Dos Santos played a crucial role in the win, while substitute James Sunley made a notable impact off the bench. Despite the result, no Jersey-based team has yet reached a playoff position or title competition this season.

Meanwhile, Jersey RFC Women continued their strong form with a 22-0 win against Medway Women. The convincing performance keeps them firmly in the title race.

Evelyn Partners Jets also impressed in netball, defeating Leeds Athletic 76-39. The bonus-point victory leaves them just two points behind the league leaders, with growing momentum.

In local football, St Paul's dominated Madeira with a 6-1 win, while St Clement beat St Peter 3-1. Sporting Accies, however, fell 5-3 to St John First.

Hockey fans witnessed an exciting 4-4 draw between Smugglers and Trafalgars in the Super League. Ben Heelis was the standout player, netting three goals for Smugglers.

Elsewhere, Jack Cairns, Conor Martin, and Felix Gouveia each claimed victories at the Sandee Fight Series in Barnsley.
