Island Launches First Fundraising Platform Dedicated Exclusively for Charitable Contributions on JerseyGiving
Jersey is set to witness a significant digital leap with the launch of JerseyGiving, an online platform designed specifically for fundraising and crowdfunding initiatives on the island. Scheduled for September 23, this new platform is set to revolutionise the way charities and good causes raise money in Jersey.
Founded by a local technology company, JerseyGiving is a collaboration between local charities, RaceNation, and SportsGiving. The platform, which has already been in use for the past six weeks on the Hospice website, is designed with a focus on local giving and donor engagement.
Will Golder, CEO of RaceNation, expressed his excitement about JerseyGiving, stating that the platform aims to power all fundraising and crowdfunding in Jersey. He believes that JerseyGiving will make the giving process seamless for supporters while improving charity efficiencies.
One of the key features of JerseyGiving is the JerseyGift Support scheme, which is being utilised in the giving process on the platform. This digital declaration allows charities to automatically raise 25% more on eligible donations.
Cheri Strudwick, Director of Income Generation for Jersey Hospice Care, expressed her delight about working on Jersey's first dedicated fundraising platform.
