iPad Air's anticipated arrival on the horizon, boasting a significant upgrade

The tech world is abuzz with rumours about the next iteration of the iPad Air. According to a recent report by Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, the upcoming iPad Air is likely to be equipped with the M3 chip. This would mark a significant upgrade for the device, as no other rumours have suggested this display upgrade for the M3 iPad Air.

Mark Gurman has also predicted an early 2025 launch for the next iPad Air, potentially between February and May. The potential announcement date for the next iPad Air could be as early as March. However, it's important to note that this information is still speculative and awaits confirmation from Apple.

In addition to the M3 chip, the M3 iPad Air is rumoured to feature a higher refresh rate LCD display with a new liquid motion panel fixed at around 90Hz. This could potentially enhance the user experience by providing smoother scrolling and improved responsiveness.

A new Magic Keyboard is also rumoured to be designed specifically for the iPad Air. The new Magic Keyboard may bring features of the iPad Pro keyboard to the iPad Air, such as a thinner and/or lighter design, a row of function keys with shortcuts, and a larger glass trackpad.

Evan Blass, via 9to5Mac, has shared a leak suggesting the upcoming iPad Air will be equipped with the previous-gen M3 chip. While this might seem like a downgrade compared to the iPad Pro's M4 chip, the next iPad Air is expected to achieve M3 performance in its next iteration.

It's also worth noting that the information about the next iPad Air is still speculative and awaits confirmation from Apple. However, Evan Blass' leaks have been relatively reliable in the past, which adds a touch of credibility to these rumours.

Apple typically hosts an event every spring, suggesting a potential announcement for the more powerful, next-gen iPad Air is near. The exact release date for the next iPad Air is still uncertain, with May 2025 being a possible option.

Intriguingly, the leak refers to the "apple-ipad-air-13-(m3)" and the "apple-ipad-air-11-(m3)", which could suggest that Apple might be releasing two versions of the next iPad Air, one with a 13-inch display and another with an 11-inch display, both equipped with the M3 chip.

As always, take these rumours with a grain of salt until Apple officially confirms the details. Stay tuned for more updates as we approach the potential announcement date for the next iPad Air.
