In a lopsided contest, the Iowa State Cyclones defeated the South Dakota Coyotes with a commanding 55-7 score. The game saw a thrilling second half where Iowa State piled on four more touchdowns, taking a 55-7 lead.

The Cyclones started strong, scoring on their opening drive of the game. Quarterback Rocco Becht completed 19 of 20 passes for 278 yards and three touchdowns, setting the tone for the rest of the game. Gabe Burkle, with four catches for 85 yards and a touchdown, and Benjamin Brahmer, who caught seven passes for 47 yards and two touchdowns, were key contributors to Iowa State's offensive success.

Abu Sama III, Xavier Townsend, Alex Manske, and Dylan Lee each scored one rushing touchdown for the Cyclones. Townsend followed with an 11-yard touchdown run in the third quarter, while Manske scored a 4-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter, and Lee punched in an 8-yard touchdown run in the same quarter.
