Investment firm Beach Point Capital announces new top-tier team member additions

Beach Point Capital Management, a leading investment firm, has made significant additions to its senior leadership team. The appointments of Josh Baumgarten and Eric Storch, both industry veterans with extensive experience in credit-focused firms, are immediate and they will be based in the New York office of Beach Point Capital Management.

Josh Baumgarten, who previously served as Co-CEO and Co-CIO of Metalmark Capital, has been appointed as President and Chief Investment Officer at Beach Point Capital Management. In his new role, Baumgarten will join the executive committee and work on corporate and investment strategy across various investment verticals. Prior to joining Beach Point, Baumgarten worked at Blackstone, where he managed the credit business at Blackstone Alternative Asset Management. Before that, he was co-managing partner and head of credit at TPG Angelo Gordon, and before TPG's acquisition of Angelo Gordon, Baumgarten was co-chief executive and co-chief investment officer of the firm, leading its global credit business.

Eric Storch, who joins Beach Point Capital Management from Oak Hill Advisors, has been appointed as global head of client partnerships and business development. In his new role, Storch will lead investor relations, capital formation, and product development efforts at the firm. At Oak Hill Advisors, Storch was a managing director and helped lead business development, client coverage, and marketing activities.
