Astratinvest, a leading investment firm, has announced the launch of its flagship fund - the Astratinvest Quant Long Short Fund. The fund aims to raise Rs 400 crore and is structured in accordance with SEBI's private placement framework.

Orbis Financial Corporation Limited, a reputable financial institution, has been appointed as both the custodian and registrar/transfer agent for the fund. D&A Financial Services Private Limited serves as the merchant banker, while Orbis Trusteeship Services Private Limited has been appointed as the trustee.

The fund's CEO and CIO, Dr. Matthias Schmidt, and Co-Founder, CIO & MD, Akash Gupta, have outlined the fund's mission and strategy. The mission is to redefine modern investing by replacing emotion and speculation with data, discipline, and deep research. The fund offers a systematic, data-driven approach to participating in India's dynamic equity markets.

The Astratinvest Quant Long Short Fund uses a proprietary, multi-layered quantitative framework. It integrates four engines: MSQ (Market Strength Quantum), VSQ (Volatility Strength Quantum), S1+S2 Selection Engine, and RRQ (Risk Reward Quantum). This framework dynamically adapts to market conditions while maintaining strict risk controls.

The offering is intended for eligible investors with a minimum investment of Rs 1 crore as defined under AIF regulations. Mukesh M. Gangar & Co. and Vaish Associates Advocates have provided legal advisory for the fund's setup.

According to Shivam Agrawal, Co-Founder & CEO at Astratinvest, the fund harnesses specialized quantitative models to capitalize on both upward and downward market movements. The fund aims to provide consistent returns by leveraging its quantitative approach and strict risk management.

The Astratinvest Quant Long Short Fund is poised to bring a new dimension to the Indian investment landscape, blending data-driven insights with a robust quantitative framework to deliver long-term value to its investors.
