Investigation Underway: Stripped Patrol Vehicles, Damaged Vehicle Reported; Witnesses Sought for Grey Fiat Incident; Daimler in Silver Tank Obliterated and further details
In a series of events, several incidents have been reported across various towns in the region.
In Hainburg, a silver Mercedes A 160 was fully burned out on Wednesday afternoon. Initial findings suggest a technical defect as the cause, with an estimated property damage of around 1,000 euros. Moving on to Mainhausen/Mainflingen, burglars forced entry through the front door of a house on Thursday, causing approximately 300 euros in property damage and stealing around 200 euros in cash. The detectives have taken up the investigation, and witnesses are asked to call 069 8098-1234.
In Dietzenbach, a gray Fiat with OF license plates was vandalized between Wednesday and Thursday. Unknown perpetrators scratched the driver's side of the car with a sharp object, causing approximately 500 euros in damage. On Motorway 3 in Obertshausen towards Würzburg, a hit-and-run incident occurred at approximately 6:25 PM on Thursday. The incident involved a truck brushing a police patrol car with flashing lights. The truck in question had white tarpaulin and unknown lettering, and it fled the scene without permission after the incident. No one was injured, but the damage to the patrol car is estimated at 10,000 euros. Witnesses to this hit-and-run incident are asked to contact the highway police in Langenselbold at 06183 91155-0.
In a separate incident at the train station in Ober-Roden, an e-scooter theft occurred on Thursday. The e-scooter in question is a Zamelux Green model. It was locked to a metal post using a spiral lock at around 6:20 AM, but was missing upon the owner's return at around 4:40 PM. The police in Dietzenbach are seeking witnesses with useful information about the incident.
In Dreieich, the police conducted a control before the gymnasium and drew a positive balance. No further details were provided about the nature of the control or the positive outcome. In the same town, the police are reminding road users to comply with the no-through traffic restriction in the Breslauer Straße during school hours to protect the students.
Finally, the police are reminding road users in Offenbach and Dreieich to comply with the regulations of the signs of the guidance system on the motorway. The Neu-Isenburg police station and the Ordnungsamt Dreieich conducted a control on bicycle and school route safety in Dreieich on Thursday morning. Despite a no-through traffic restriction in the Breslauer Straße in the school area, 11 traffic participants drove through the street and were warned. Of the 90 bicycles checked, almost all were roadworthy.
