The Shanghai Auto Show in April will see the debut of the new Geely-Emgrand EX7 SUV, a vehicle that will be available in both petrol and diesel engine options. The production version of this SUV, which will be sold under the Emgrand brand, will be listed soon thereafter. The wheelbase of the Geely-Emgrand EX7 SUV measures 2660, and it will have dimensions of 4545ร—1832ร—1671. For export markets, a 2.0-litre diesel engine will be available. The price for the petrol variants is expected to start around 130,000 yuan.

Meanwhile, the Zeekr 9X, an 80,000 USD SUV, has been revealed with the world's largest PHEV battery. However, details about the engines or engine options for the Zeekr 9X remain undisclosed. What we do know is that the Zeekr 9X will be sold under a brand different from Emgrand and does not have any known connection with the Geely-Emgrand EX7 SUV.

In a separate development, Geely and Mercedes-Benz have announced that they will jointly launch the Smart #2 EV city car in China in late 2026. This vehicle, engineered and built by Geely in China while styled by Mercedes-Benz, will mark the first collaboration between the two companies since their 50:50 joint venture was established in 2019.

As for the Zeekr 9X's weight, it is reported to be around 3-tons. Further details about the dimensions or production schedule for this vehicle are yet to be disclosed.

In summary, the Geely-Emgrand EX7 SUV and the Zeekr 9X are two distinct vehicles at different stages of their lifecycle. The former is set to hit the market soon, while the latter's specifics, including its engine options, remain under wraps. The Smart #2 EV city car, on the other hand, is a collaboration between Geely and Mercedes-Benz, set to launch in China in late 2026.
