The Chinese automaker Geely, under its brand Lynk & Co, has introduced the new Lynk & Co 08 EM-P Plug-in-Hybrid SUV for pre-sales in China. The SUV, priced at 218,000 yuan (30,400 USD), features a sleek design and a host of high-end amenities.

The Lynk & Co 08 stands on the all-new CMA Evo platform, a slightly reworked architecture that underpins the Volvo XC40, Lynk & Co models (except Lynk & Co 09), and several Geely branded cars. This SUV adopts the design language introduced by the Lynk & Co The Next Day concept-car, featuring thinner running lights that merge into a single element, integrated headlights, and no noticeable grille.

Inside the Lynk & Co 08, passengers are treated to a luxurious experience. The interior boasts Nappa leather, a 50W wireless phone charging pad, and a 23-speaker Harman/Kardon sound system. The multimedia system is powered by the Lynk Flyme Auto system developed jointly by Lynk & Co and Meizu. The system houses a large floating center screen with a diameter of 15.4 inches, an instrument panel with a diameter of 12.3 inches, and a 92-inch AR-HUD.

For those seeking a more exclusive experience, a Limited Edition of the Lynk & Co 08 EM-P has been launched, priced at 288,000 yuan (40,160 USD). This edition features a purple-gold exterior and interior color scheme, R21 wheels, and all previously mentioned functions. The Limited Edition is limited to 1,008 units.

A notable feature in the Lynk & Co 08 is the front passenger's leg rest, and four seats inside the car (except the middle seat in the second row) are equipped with the massage function. Every Limited Edition buyer receives a Meizu 20 Pro smartphone, a phone case, and a sandglass, all finished in colors of the Limited Edition.

The Lynk & Co 08 EM-P plug-in hybrid SUV, a joint project between Geely and Volvo, offers impressive performance. It features a CLTC range of 220 km, 593 hp, and a mixed range of 1,400 km.

Customers can book the Lynk & Co 08 EM-P for 1,000 yuan (140 USD). The peak price of the Lynk & Co 08 is 278,000 yuan (36,770 USD). It's worth noting that the Denza N7 fastback SUV from BYD, with similar performance, starts at 301,800 yuan (42,090 USD).

The Lynk & Co 08 EM-P Plug-in-Hybrid SUV is a compelling offering in the Chinese market, blending style, luxury, and performance at an affordable price point. Pre-sales are currently underway, and it will be interesting to see how this new model fares in the competitive automotive market.
