Investigation
The automotive industry in China is abuzz with the latest developments from the Dongfeng-Nissan joint venture. The new Nissan Tiida, produced in China, has been unveiled, with its front design now revealed. The vehicle will go on sale in May.
Meanwhile, the joint venture has also made strides in the electric vehicle sector with the debut of the Dongfeng-Nissan Venucia electric compact SUV. This new model has rolled off the production line and is a separate entity from the Tiida.
The new Tiida features a 1.6 turbocharged engine, which is also used in the Nissan Juke. This engine produces 190 horsepower, promising a powerful drive for the new model.
On the other hand, the Venucia electric compact SUV, a new addition to the Dongfeng-Nissan lineup, is not related to the Shanghai Auto Show 2011. The joint venture responsible for the production of the Tiida is not the same one producing the Venucia electric compact SUV.
The Venucia electric compact SUV has also made headlines with the release of their hydrogen car, priced approximately at 140,000 USD. However, there is no information available on the exact sales launch date of the new Dongfeng-Nissan Tiida in China.
Despite the lack of information on telegram or google news accounts related to Dongfeng-Nissan or the Venucia electric compact SUV, it is clear that both the Tiida and the Venucia models are set to make a significant impact in the Chinese automotive market.
