New Chery Riich G3 Sedan to Debut at Shanghai Auto Show

The automobile industry is abuzz with anticipation as the new Chery Riich G3 sedan is set to make its debut at the Shanghai Auto Show next month. This redesigned version of the G3 concept, first unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show in 2010, boasts several notable changes.

The most striking alteration is the relocation of the logo from the bonnet to the middle of the car. Additionally, the design changes primarily focus on the grille, which now features less chrome compared to the G3 concept. There are notable differences between the new sedan and the concept, specifically in the grille design.

The new Chery Riich G3 sedan measures 4610mm in length, 1760mm in width, and 1478mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2610mm and a weight of 1325kg. Under the hood, the sedan will launch with a 1.3 supercharged engine, producing 95kw and 180nm. A 1.6 engine will be available at a later date.

While the Chery Riich G3 sedan is a sedan model, the off-road capabilities of the vehicle are not mentioned. In contrast, the Jetour Zongheng G700 PHEV off-road SUV, which started pre-sale recently, boasts an impressive 751hp and a wading depth of 970mm.

In other news, the all-new Chery QQ3 EV has debuted in China, marking the revival of the QQ series. However, no information about its release date or availability outside of China is provided.

As the Shanghai Auto Show approaches, auto enthusiasts eagerly await the unveiling of the new Chery Riich G3 sedan, which promises to be a significant addition to the automobile market. Stay tuned for more updates!
