Intruders stole jewelry and watches from a residence, searching multiple rooms, and maliciously defaced an election poster. Additionally, the cable was filched.

In the quiet town of Central Hesse, several incidents have been reported over the past day, including burglaries and the defacement of election posters.

On Thursday, January 30, 2025, burglars targeted a single-family home in Bad Vilbeler Carl-Schurz-Straße between 07:50 and 20:00. The criminals forced open a terrace door and ransacked several rooms, but it is not yet known if they made off with any valuables. Witnesses are being sought by the Friedberg criminal police to help with the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact them at Tel.: 06031 6010.

In a separate incident, burglars broke into a home in Amalienstraße, Assenheim, between 16:00 and 19:25. The burglars made off with jewelry and watches from the single-family home. Witnesses or anyone with information about this incident can also contact the Friedberg criminal police at the same number.

Meanwhile, in Rodheim, the "Die Linke" party's election poster was defaced with black paint on Thursday, January 30, 2025. The defacement occurred in the main street, and witnesses reported the damaged poster to the Friedberg police station on Thursday evening.

In Oppershofen, thieves stole a 200-meter long cable from a construction site in Steinfurter Straße between Wednesday, January 29, 2025, 15:30 and Thursday, January 30, 2025, 07:00. The Butzbach police are seeking tips about the cable theft and are asking for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them at Tel.: 06033 70430.
