EAG Expo Expands Its Reach with New Shows and International Partnerships
In an exciting move for the gaming and casino industry, EAG Expo Ltd, a leading organiser of trade shows, has announced the launch of two new events: the London Casino and Gaming Show (LCG) and the SIE Expo. Martin Burlin, the chairman of EAG Expo Ltd, has taken the decision to co-habit the ExCeL venue in London's Docklands (January 14-16) alongside EAG itself and the new SIE Expo.
The London Casino and Gaming Show is seen as an opportunity to visit something more 'boutique and ambient'. It aims for a balanced representation of both large and small exhibitors, providing a focused environment for showcasing new and relevant products to all parts of the land-based entertainment industry. EAG may not be the biggest, but it is seen as a more ambient, more focused way to explore the latest offerings.
Nick Harding, the new vice-chairman of EAG Expo Ltd., Bacta's exhibition company, is joining the board with a mission to understand the nuances of the exhibition sector. As the ambassador for the LCG show, Harding is looking forward to working closely with Martin Burlin. His responsibilities have expanded from ambassador for the LCG show to becoming involved as a board member with a direct input into the three shows that make up the EAG portfolio.
The SIE Expo, on the other hand, focuses on the burgeoning social and interactive sector. It is a recognition of a gap in the market, and its arrival is an exciting development for the industry. The SIE Expo, like the LCG, will be held within the ExCeL venue, offering opportunities for events and hospitality outlets.
Bacta, the trade association for the UK's gaming and amusement machine industry, is also getting involved. They thrive on being opportunistic, as demonstrated by their response to ICE moving to Barcelona. Bacta is considering a program of seminars for the exhibitions, including both in-show seminars and meetings in ExCeL meeting rooms.
