Intervention Program for Juvenile Substance Abusers: Fresh Training Initiative by Arnsberg City's Addiction Prevention Department within the Family Office

The Family Office of the city of Arnsberg is offering a three-day professional development seminar called "Jugend und Sucht - Move" for professionals who work with young people consuming substances. The seminar will take place on three Thursdays in November at the Haltestelle premises in Arnsberg.

This seminar is open to professionals from both Arnsberg and Sundern who work with young people who engage in risky substance use. Participants will learn how to spark motivation for change in everyday "knock and talk" conversations, using techniques that focus on respectful and resource-oriented interaction, particularly regarding risky consumption behaviors such as alcohol and cannabis.

In addition to conversation techniques, the seminar will provide legal information in cooperation with the HSK Crime Prevention, as well as background knowledge on substance use and addiction behavior. Upon successful completion of the seminar, participants will receive a certificate from the State Coordination Office for Drug Prevention in NRW, Ginko Foundation for Prevention.

Registrations for the seminar can be made via the ginko Foundation for Prevention's homepage. For further information, please contact Johanna Kenter at GoethestraรŸe 16-18, 59755 Arnsberg, phone number 02932/201-2205.

It is important to note that there are no participation costs, but travel and catering expenses must be covered by the participant or their institution.

This seminar is an excellent opportunity for professionals to enhance their skills and knowledge in dealing with young people who consume substances, and to learn practical techniques to encourage change readiness. Don't miss out on this chance to make a positive impact in the lives of young people in your community.
