On September 3rd, 2023, the Historic Town Hall Dormagen will play host to an exciting event titled "Chipata up close". This event is a unique opportunity for the people of Dormagen to gain insights into the vibrant Zambian city of Chipata, the capital of the Eastern Province with approximately 75,000 inhabitants.

The event, which will run from 7 pm to 8:30 pm, is part of a series of activities aimed at strengthening the partnership between Dormagen and Chipata, a partnership that was established in October 2022. The partnership, according to Dormagen's Mayor Erik Lierenfeld, serves as a bridge between cultures and people.

The event will feature an exchange of information between the mayors of both cities, with George Mwanza, Mayor of Chipata, delivering a speech.
