Interfaith Dialogue ‘Youth and Religion’ Bridges Gaps in Heide’s Community

An interfaith dialogue titled 'Youth and Religion' took place at Heide’s civic centre, bringing together people of different faiths. The evening aimed to encourage conversations, challenge stereotypes, and strengthen connections between religions.

Axinia Hansjosten led the discussion, guiding participants through conversations about religious upbringing and youth experiences. Representatives from each faith shared their perspectives: Adriana Stern spoke on Judaism, Amrei Härtel on Christianity, Rizwan Ahmad Khan and young participants on Islam, and Hasan Alrubayee and Kian Granfar on the Bahá’í Faith.

The event succeeded in fostering understanding and dialogue between faiths. Participants left with a clearer sense of how young people connect with their religions. Organisers considered the evening a step toward building stronger interfaith relationships in the community.
