The Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) is set to make its way to the Sachsenring track for an exciting three-day event, starting this weekend.

Located west of Chemnitz, the Sachsenring track is unique in the DTM calendar, with significant elevation changes and a maximum gradient of 12.8 percent. This track, known for its fast corners and blind crests, offers relatively high grip, making it a challenging yet thrilling experience for the DTM drivers.

Leading the charge is Lucas Auer, who will be at the helm of the DTM's action-packed weekend. Local hero, Maximilian Paul (Paul Motorsport), is also looking forward to the weekend, with his fans in Dresden. However, Paul mentions that tire wear is quite high on the track, typically allowing only one fast lap in qualifying.

The weekend promises to be a spectacle, with three series gracing the track – the ADAC GT4 Germany, the Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Deutschland, and the NXT Gen Cup. In addition to these modern races, show runs featuring iconic cars from 40 years of DTM will add a nostalgic touch to all three event days.

Some of the iconic cars that fans can expect to see include an Abt Audi TT-R and a Mercedes-Benz 190E Evo II. These classic racers are sure to evoke memories and add an extra layer of excitement to the weekend's events.

So, gear up for a weekend of high-speed racing, nostalgia, and adrenaline-pumping action at the Sachsenring. Don't miss out on this unforgettable DTM experience!
