In a dramatic turn of events at the ongoing Mini Main Event, Polish poker player Krzysztof Chmielowski has eliminated Joona Tefke, leaving 16 players vying for the top spot.

The fateful encounter took place at an unspecified round, with Chmielowski re-shoving for around 900,000 from UTG+1. Tefke, not to be outdone, made a move-in of approximately 800,000 from the UTG position.

As the cards were dealt, Tefke was dealt an Ace and Jack (A♣J♠), while Chmielowski received an Ace and Queen (A♦Q♠). The board ran out as an exciting sequence, with a Queen (Q♦), Seven (7♥), and finally an Ace (A♠) appearing, followed by a King (K♣) and a Five (5♦).

With this showdown, Chmielowski's stronger hand held, and Tefke was eliminated from the Mini Main Event. The board ran out as K♣A♠5♦7♥Q♦, sealing Tefke's fate.

Following this encounter, Chmielowski has taken the chip lead with a stack of 1,700,000, while Tefke is out of the tournament with 0 chips. Each of the remaining 16 players has looked up €1,090 to continue their pursuit in the Mini Main Event.

As the tournament progresses, the Mini Main Event is moving towards its final table. The current standings and chip counts can be found on the official tournament website, live poker updates, or the event's live reporting page.

Despite the loss of Tefke, the Mini Main Event continues to captivate spectators and players alike, with 16 players still in the running for the top prize. Stay tuned for more updates as the tournament unfolds.
