In the dynamic world of China's automotive industry, May 2025 saw a significant milestone as the Geely Xingyuan emerged as the top-selling New Energy Vehicle (NEV) with a impressive 38,715 units sold. The Geely Xingyue L also made a strong showing, securing another spot among the best-selling passenger vehicles in China during the same month.

April 2025 was no less eventful, with the Geely Geome Xingyuan claiming the title of the best-selling passenger vehicle in China. The Denza D9 also found its place among the top-selling passenger vehicles during this period.

The BYD Seagull followed closely behind the Geely Xingyuan in May 2025, selling 31,105 units and securing the second spot in the best-selling NEVs. The BYD Qin Plus also made an appearance in the top three, selling 29,328 units and ranking third in the same category.

As for BMW Automobile, their third largest market in 2010 was China, selling 183,300 vehicles. The sales in China saw an impressive 85.3 percent increase compared to previous years. In 2010, Germany remained BMW's first largest market, selling 267,716 units, while the United States took the second spot with 266,500 units sold.

Fast forward to 2025, China remains BMW's largest market. The company is focusing heavily on local partnerships and has launched the new fully electric "Neue Klasse" model series, including the iX3 SUV produced in Shenyang for the Chinese market. BMW aims to regain growth starting in 2026 and more confidently from 2027 onward.

In the competitive world of Chinese NEV startups, HIMA ranked 52,747 in delivery in June 2025, while Xiaomi had more than 25,000 NEV deliveries during the same month. Leapmotor ranked 48,006 in Chinese NEV startup delivery in June 2025.
