Innovations unveiled by Horsch: seeding apparatus, soil digger, field-wide sprinkler system, and additional equipment
Horsch, a leading manufacturer of agricultural machinery, has presented a range of new products at Agritechnica 2025. Among the new offerings is the Avatar 66.10 TD, a direct sowing machine designed for high-capacity seeding and fertilizer application.
The Avatar 66.10 TD: A New Direct Sowing Solution
The Avatar 66.10 TD boasts a working width of 20.11 meters, making it well-suited for large-scale farming operations. It features 80 sowing units, each capable of separate dosing of fertilizer and seed, thanks to four tanks with a total volume of 30,000 liters. The fertilizer is placed between the sowing rows via pre-running disc coulters, ensuring precise placement and optimal nutrient distribution.
The Avatar 66.10 TD's chassis ensures exceptional maneuverability despite its size. It is equipped with a steerable front axle and broadly tired (1100/35 R 32) wheels, providing excellent stability and control. Optionally, pre-running clearing stars can be used to prepare the sowing furrow, allowing a working speed of up to 15 km/h.
Other New Offerings from Horsch
In addition to the Avatar 66.10 TD, Horsch has introduced several other new products. The Maestro 12 TX, a towed, 12-row machine with a hydraulically adjustable telescopic frame, has been unveiled in the sowing technology category. The Maestro 12 TX allows tool-free adjustment of row widths between 45 and 75 cm in 5 cm increments, providing flexibility for various crop types and field conditions.
The company has also expanded its disc harrow segment with the Versa 7 SW, which boasts a working width of 7.20 m and a double tank volume of 6,300 l. In the soil tillage category, the Cruiser 12 XL has been introduced, joining the Cruiser 7 and 9 XL.
A new basic concept for a seeder, combining seeder and disc harrow as an independent machine, has also been introduced by Horsch. However, no groundbreaking technologies were presented at this year's Agritechnica.
Lastly, the Fortis 8 AS has been introduced in the cultivators category, with a working width of 8.27 m. The first unit of the Avatar 66.10 TD was tested in the spring of 2025, and a small batch is planned for the next year.
While the details about the testing date of the first unit of the new innovations presented by Horsch and the information about a new model presented at Agritechnica 2025 remain unavailable, these new offerings from Horsch promise to bring significant improvements to agricultural operations.
