On Tuesday, September 9, there will be significant changes at the intersection of the B224, Prosperstraße, and Arenbergstraße, as the traffic light system there is scheduled for replacement. The work is expected to take place between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
During this period, lanes in both directions of the multi-lane intersection will be closed. Pedestrians and cyclists should be aware of detours, which will be clearly signposted on the day. Unfortunately, pedestrian crossings at this intersection will not be available on September 9.
The traffic lights will be out of operation during the replacement, which may cause delays. Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time and to adhere to the reduced speed limit of 30 km/h on the B224.
After September 9, the lane closures in the direction of Gladbeck/A2 on the B224 will be lifted. However, from September 10 to 16, one lane in the same direction will remain closed for further work.
The local municipal traffic management or public works department is responsible for the maintenance and replacement of the damaged traffic light system.
From September 10 to 16, the speed limit on the B224 in the direction of Gladbeck/A2 will continue to be 30 km/h. Motorists are urged to comply with the speed limit and to follow the signage for detours and lane closures.
