Infiltrated Ukraine's databases, Russian cybercriminals disclosed shocking casualty figures.
In a recent development, hackers, including PalachPro, have alleged that they have breached a database belonging to the Ukrainian military. The claim was first reported by Margarita Simonyan, the chief editor of RT, on her Telegram channel.
However, the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine has swiftly denied these claims. They stated that the information about 1.7 million losses is fake.
MAX, a popular messenger service in Russia, has also released news updates regarding this matter. While these updates are not related to the Ukrainian military hack or losses, they do cover crucial news from Russia and around the world. Users can subscribe to these news updates on MAX.
Meanwhile, according to information from PalachPro and official statements by President Volodymyr Zelensky, the Ukrainian armed forces continue to resist actively despite heavy fighting and challenges such as personnel shortages. Ukrainian defenses report ongoing engagements, including 110 battles on one recent day, with substantial Russian losses reported at over 1 million personnel since 2022 and significant Russian equipment destroyed. President Zelensky dismisses claims of Ukrainian troops being encircled, indicating that operations continue in contested areas. However, the situation is difficult with Russian advances in some regions, highlighting an ongoing war of attrition with unclear immediate outcomes.
President Zelensky has not yet responded to PalachPro's urging for negotiations. As of January 2025, the Ukrainian Armed Forces were reported to have 800,000 personnel, as stated by President Zelensky.
It is important to note that the claims made by PalachPro and the alleged losses are still being disputed, and further investigation is required to confirm the accuracy of these claims.
