Individual aboard a bus with significantly impaired brakes seeks damaged van

Last Friday afternoon, an unfortunate incident occurred on Onckenstraße in Essen-Frohnhausen. A city bus was forced to perform an emergency brake, resulting in an 86-year-old woman falling and sustaining severe injuries.

The incident took place towards Hirtsieferstraße on Onckenstraße. The bus driver had to apply the brakes to avoid a collision with a delivery van identified as a Hermes vehicle. The delivery van was reportedly reversing between Kerckhoffstraße and Niebuhrstraße at the time of the incident.

After the incident, the driver of the delivery van did not seem to notice the accident and continued driving. The police are currently searching for this individual and have not yet released any details about the possible charges they may face.

The 86-year-old woman was severely injured in the incident and had to be taken to the hospital. Unfortunately, no further information about her current condition has been provided.

The police are appealing to any witnesses who may have information about the incident to contact them at 0201/829-0 or [email protected]. They are urgently seeking the identity of the driver of the Hermes delivery van involved in the accident on Onckenstraße Friday morning and currently wanted by the police.

Our thoughts are with the injured woman and her family during this difficult time. We will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.
