Increase in apprenticeship beginning: Record number of Azubis commence training

In the bustling city of Friedrichshafen, a new academic year has begun, with numerous opportunities for growth and development in various fields. The city administration, proud of its role as a modern, diverse, and attractive employer, is offering training in twelve professions and five study programs.

Mayor Dieter Stauber welcomed the new trainees on September 1st, marking the start of an exciting journey for many. Among those starting this year are four individuals embarking on their direct entry into the training for social pedagogical assistance, five young people commencing the eleven-month vocational college in social pedagogy, and one person completing their recognition year in the city.

The city's training team, led by Annabelle Port and Jan Schneider, provided valuable insights into starting a career and outlined various areas of work within the municipal administration. For instance, one trainee each is starting in the study programs BWL-Tourism, Civil Engineering, and Social Work with a focus on children and youth work on October 1st.

In addition, four future educators are starting their practice-integrated training (PiA) in the city, and three trainees are completing their practical part during their school training in a municipal kindergarten. The city is also accompanying a student for the first time in the new Bachelor of Arts - Informatics study program.

Furthermore, four students are starting or deepening their studies in the Bachelor of Arts - Public Management on October 1st. Three deputy fire chief trainees, two trainees in care, and two participants in adaptation courses have already started in the spring. Nine administrative service clerks, one specialist for baths, and one specialist for media and information services are also starting their training this year.

The city of Friedrichshafen, one of the largest employers in the area with around 1,600 employees, emphasises its commitment to providing a wide range of training opportunities.
